LGBTQ+ Studies

The research guide for LGBT Studies at CCSF!

People marching in Trans March near Dolores ParkThis guide serves the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies department as a one-stop-shop of the CCSF Library's collection covering research topics found in the curriculum of this program.

Our collections focus on:

  • A wide range of genres: fiction/nonfiction, academic/pleasure, local/national/global authors and topics in LGBTQ+ publishing

  • Topics across several disciplines including health, community work, sexuality, social science, history

  • E-book and print materials are selected based on demand, as well as course modality

  • Local history of LGBTQ+ in San Francisco and the Bay Area

  • Supporting LGBT Studies curriculum course of study and assignments

Remote Access

Assistance

An active RAM ID (student ID number) and RAM ID password is required for off-campus access to CCSF Library subscription resources and databases, including online articles, streaming video, and e-books. When accessing these resources from off-campus, users will be prompted to log in with RAM ID, then will be able to view resources as if they are on-campus.
