Faculty Guide to Streaming Video

Answers to common questions about streaming video.

The Media Center will digitize library owned media for the purposes of preservation, scholarly research or instructional use as permitted by fair use and other exceptions for libraries defined in the U.S. Copyright Act. Digitized media may only be accessed by students within Canvas or by networked delivery through password authentication. Requests are processed as staffing and time permits.

The library will not digitize faculty owned materials. Contact Media Services for assistance. As per the District Policy on Copyright, faculty are directed to acquire permission from rights holders to duplicate or distribute copyrighted materials. Alternatively, faculty can make their own determination of fair use for legally obtained materials.
