Public Performance Rights (PPR) granted by copyright holders allow institutions to screen films outside of the classroom or library. PPR is generally available for an additional fee but often comes bundled with educational DVDs or digital site licenses. PPR must be acquired if screenings are open to the general public, even if the screening is free of charge to attendees.
