Books and Media

Use OneSearch, the library's discovery tool, to find books, ebooks, DVDs, streaming videos, music CDs, and more.

  1. Use the Books and Media tab in the OneSearch to limit your search to local books and media.
  2. Click on the title to see the library record for the item, which shows the location, call number and availability (status). A status of “On the shelf” means that the item is available in the library. A status of “On loan” means that the item is checked out.
  3. If the item is “On the shelf,” write down the call number and ask for a librarian’s help if you don’t already know how to read it.

Request a book from another CCSF library location

Found a book -- but it’s across town at another CCSF library location. CCSF will send books to the preferred CCSF library within a week. To request an item, find the title in OneSearch, signin to your account and click the request button.

Can’t find the book at CCSF?
