Check out the technology you need to succeed in your classes from the library.

Borrowing Guidelines

  • Currently, enrolled students can check out technology from the library (computers, hotspots, etc.) and will be limited to 1 computer (laptop or Chromebook) and 1 hotspot.
    • CCSF employees are not able to request Chromebooks or hotspots for checkout at this time.
  • Chromebooks, laptops, and hotspots can be borrowed from all CCSF Libraries. They cannot be transferred between locations.
  • Please return Chromebooks, laptops, and hotspots to the library during open hours.
  • Chromebooks and laptops may be renewed in your library account, provided you are registered for classes. Due to demand, hotspots cannot be renewed.
  • Users are responsible for equipment until it is checked back in with all associated accessories.
  • CCSF is not responsible for loss or damage to equipment during the checkout period.
  • Borrowers must follow College, state, and federal policies and laws regarding appropriate use of college networks and computing services.

Technology Available to Check Out

Students may check out library materials by coming into the library during open hours. Students may also request items by clicking on the technology from the table below and following these instructions:

  1. In the "Get it" section of the item page, click on the sign-in link and log in with your RAM ID and password.
  2. Once you're signed in, click on the Request button (in the "Get It" section) for the item you are requesting.
  3. Wait for a confirmation email in your CCSF email account saying that your materials are ready to pick up. It can take about a week.
  4. Pick up your item at the library circulation desk in the library that it was requested.
  5. Chat with a librarian if you need help!
